The oldest of the three museums, The Fogg Museum, opened in 1895. It hosts a massive collection of Western art, including paintings, sculptures, prints, and drawings from the Middle Ages to current times. The Busch-Reisinger Museum was founded in 1901 as the Germanic Museum. While it features art from across central and northern Europe, it was dedicated to focusing on art from German-speaking countries. The Arthur M. Sackler Museum opened in 1985 to accommodate the university's growing collection of art from Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. These three museums can take you on a tour through art and history all in one building.
